This painting shows a few bold black shapes on a light background. The marks look like splashes or quick strokes—some curved, some blurry at the edges. There’s a small dark spot in the bottom right corner, separate from the main shapes. The ink is applied loosely, almost like it was poured or flicked. The paper (or acetate) is thin enough that you can see light through it. Look up Reuben Nakian next to see how he worked with simple, bold forms.
