Untitled is a 2003 ink by Richard Tuttle, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This piece shows a thin strip of paper with a black band at the bottom. Above it, the word "rain" is written in a messy, uneven hand, almost like it’s scribbled. The top half is filled with faint, wavy lines that look like cracks or light reflections. The word "rain" is the only clear text, but the rest of the lines feel random, like they’re just there to fill space. The black bar at the bottom makes the word pop, but the rest of the image stays light and airy. If you like this kind of simple, sketchy style, check out lithography.
