This sketch shows a woman’s face and shoulders from the side, drawn in bold, scratchy lines. Her hair is wild and tangled, almost like storm clouds above her head. The paper has a grainy, textured look, with some blue-tinted areas that make the lines pop. The artist used a drypoint technique, which means they scratched into the plate to create the lines. This left a rough, almost raw feel to the image. Check out Rolf Nesch to see more of his work.
