Untitled is a 2007 by Sterling Ruby, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This piece is mostly bright orange with bold black shapes. At the top, there’s a dark, jagged V-shape with dripping lines around it. Below, a blurry red square shows a faint outline of a person’s legs. The word "PRECEDENCE" is smeared in black at the bottom, and above the V-shape, the text reads: *"THE ABSOLUTE VIOLATION COMES FROM INSTITUTIONAL."* The dripping paint and rough edges give it a raw, unfinished feel.
