About this work

This print shows a forest of bare trees with twisted branches. The sky is dark, but a bright red circle glows near the center, like a sun or a spotlight. The colors are mostly muted greens and grays, except for the bold red and a few faint red brushstrokes on the trees. The painting looks hand-drawn but also a bit smudged, like ink was rubbed or water was used. That’s because it’s made using a printing method called lithography. Check out how lithography works next.
