You see a big red circle floating above a black grid on a white background. The edges are rough, like the ink didn’t sit perfectly on the paper. This print is one of the last things Gottlieb made before he died. He used a mix of techniques—aquatint (a way to make soft, watery tones) plus screenprinting and etching—to build up layers. The circle feels heavy, almost like it’s pushing down on the grid. If you like how this looks, check out more works in lithography.
