This painting shows two tall, floating shapes made of curved white forms stacked unevenly. They’re set against a dark gray background with a thin red-brown stripe down the middle. The shapes look like they’re leaning or twisting, with some red lines connecting the curves. The artist used woodcut, a printmaking method where shapes are carved into wood. The white parts are the areas left uncarved, so ink fills them when pressed. Look up lithography next to see how it differs from woodcut.
