Untitled is a 1928 watercolor by Alexander Bogomazov, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This sketch shows two people walking past a shop window. The person on the left wears a teal coat and a dark headscarf, carrying a bundle. The person on the right has a red coat and dark pants, moving away from the viewer. Inside the window, three giant yellow vases sit on a blue shelf, and a sign with strange letters hangs above them. The artist used quick, loose lines to show movement and shape. The colors are bright but flat, like a sketchbook study. Next, check out *watercolor, glazing* to see how artists build depth with thin layers.
Alexander Konstantinovich Bogomazov or Oleksandr Kostiantynovych Bohomazov was a Ukrainian painter, cubo-futurist, modern art theoretician and is recognised as one of the key figures of the Ukrainian avant-garde scene.
