Untitled is a 1952 ink by André Masson, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This image looks like a messy, ink-blot drawing. Dark shapes sprawl across the page—some like tangled lines, others like rough, smudged forms. Light areas peek through, but the whole thing feels chaotic, almost like scribbles left behind after a storm. The artist used only ink and paper, letting the marks spread unevenly. It’s hard to tell what’s supposed to be there—maybe faces, maybe movement—but nothing is clear. This style is called lithography.
André-Aimé-René Masson (French: ; 4 January 1896 – 28 October 1987) was a French artist.
