Untitled is a 1968 ink by Bruce Conner, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This artwork looks like two green blocks of wavy lines stacked vertically. The top block is slightly off-center, and both have a rough, textured look. Between them is a brown paper strip with the words "LEGAL TENDER" printed in bold black letters. The wavy lines are made from tiny, repeated shapes—like tiny squiggles—that fill the whole space. The paper band gives it the feel of a wrapped package or a book. If you’re curious how this was made, look up lithography.
Bruce Conner was an American artist who worked with assemblage, film, drawing, sculpture, painting, collage, and photography.
