About this work

This is a black-and-white drawing of tangled branches and brush. The lines are thick and scratchy, like they were made by hand. A low stone wall runs through the middle, with a few rocks scattered around. The artist used a technique that lets ink sit in the grooves of the plate, making the lines pop. This is called etching. Look up etching to see how it works.
