This print shows a thick black ring framing a small red figure in the center. Around the ring, there are cut-out shapes of faces and hands reaching in from the edges. The background is mostly white, and the whole thing looks like it was carved into wood. The red figure looks like a tiny person or doll, standing alone in the empty space. The faces around the ring seem to be watching or reacting, but their expressions are simple and stylized. Check out how this was made using the technique: woodcut.
