Untitled is a 1996 ink by Judy Pfaff, held at Museum of Modern Art.
This painting is a wild mix of colors and shapes. Bright yellow and orange fill most of the space, with big black, red, and pink circles scattered around. Some circles look like they’re floating, while others seem stacked or layered. There’s also a tall, skinny black shape that looks like it’s leaning. Scribbles and lines fill the background, almost like someone wrote all over it. The circles and scribbles don’t form anything you’d recognize right away—it’s all abstract. The way the colors pop against each other makes it feel busy but also kind of calming. If you like this, check out lithography to see how artists make prints like this.
