This image shows a single sheet of abstract art with a rough, textured look. The shape is split down the middle like an open book, with jagged edges and uneven lines. The colors are mostly gray and white, with some darker spots and faint marks around the edges. The artist used a technique that creates raised lines—you can almost feel the bumps if you ran your fingers over it. This is called *blind embossing*, where ink is pressed into a plate to make a tactile surface. Check out Julia Phillips to see how she builds texture in her work.
