This painting shows a window with open shutters. The light outside is soft and colorful—blues, greens, and a tiny splash of red. Inside, the walls are a dark, muted gray, and a shadowy shape (maybe a hand or arm) rests on the sill. The brushstrokes are thick and blended, making the light feel almost alive. The artist used layers of paint to mix colors smoothly, especially in the sky. If you like this, check out the technique: glazing.
