About this work

This print shows two tall, branching trees against a flat, textured background. The trees have thin, spiky lines that spread out like fans, with a lighter center that fades to darker edges. The colors are muted—mostly greens and browns—with a grainy, almost sandy look to the whole piece. The artist used a printing method called *serigraph*, which lets ink pass through a stencil to create this layered effect. The trees look simple but are made up of tiny, repeated marks that build up their shape. Check out The Museum of Modern Art to see more works like this in person.
