This painting is a messy pile of objects—airplanes, guns, spools of thread, and jars—all jumbled together. The shapes are sharp and angular, with lots of black, gray, and white, plus a few splashes of red and blue. Some pieces look like they’re flying apart, while others sit still, like they’re waiting to be sorted. The mix of everyday things with weapons feels oddly tense. The artist used charcoal, pastel, and even metallic powder to make it look rough and textured. If you like this chaotic style, check out more works by Stuart Diamond.
