About this work

This sketch shows two big metal barrels sitting on a dark blue floor. A long wooden stick leans across them like a bridge. The walls behind are plain and light, almost like a blank stage. The barrels look heavy and industrial, but the whole scene feels quiet. The artist signed it in the corner with a date—1998—and the word "ZWEITAGE," which means "two days" in German. Next, check out gouache to see how this soft, paint-like medium works.
