Hegeman Print made bold posters that sold dance shows in the 1920s. Their 1926 poster for Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn’s Denishawn Dancers is a zig-zag of orange, black, and teal figures mid-leap. The dancers’ scarves curl like smoke and the title’s typeface looks ready to peel off the page.
