Charles Soubre was a Belgium artist.
Charles Soubre was a Belgian painter and draftsperson who lived from 1821 to 1895. His artistic training took place under the guidance of Barthélemy Vieillevoye, a mentor who shaped his early development. Later in his career, Soubre assumed the role of educator, passing his knowledge to the next generation of artists. Among his notable students were Adrien de Witte and Émile Berchmans, both of whom studied under his instruction. Through these connections, Soubre contributed to the artistic community of Belgium during the nineteenth century, leaving a legacy defined by his work as a creator and his influence as a teacher.
