Vera Mukhina was a Soviet sculptor who lived from 1889 to 1953 in the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic. Her documented occupations included work as a pedagogue, lecturer, sculptor, costume designer, fashion designer, and textile designer. She studied under the artist Konstantin Yuon and also trained with Henri Le Fauconnier. Her education continued under Ilya Mashkov and Emile Antoine Bourdelle. These formative relationships with established artists shaped her career across multiple creative fields. Mukhina remains a significant figure in Soviet art history through her diverse contributions to sculpture and design.
