Johannes Larsen was a Danish artist who lived from 1867 to 1961. He worked as an illustrator, painter, designer, wood carver, exlibrist, and tile painter. His artistic training included studies under the artist Frans Schwartz. He also studied under the artist Kristian Zahrtmann. These mentors guided his development across his various documented occupations. Larsen remained a citizen of the Kingdom of Denmark throughout his life. His career spanned nearly a century, during which he practiced multiple disciplines within the visual arts.
