Madeleine Lemaire was a France artist.

Madeleine Lemaire was a French painter and illustrator who lived from 1845 to 1928. She also served as a salonnière, hosting gatherings that connected artists and intellectuals of her time. Her artistic training began under the guidance of Charles Joshua Chaplin, a notable figure in the academic tradition. Later in her career, she passed her knowledge to the next generation, becoming the teacher of Marie Laurencin. Through her work as a painter and her role as a mentor, Lemaire contributed to the cultural landscape of late nineteenth and early twentieth century France.
