Masaccio was an Italian painter who lived from 1401 to 1428. He is documented as the sibling of the artist Giovanni di ser Giovanni Guidi. During his brief career, Masaccio also taught the artist Filippo Lippi. His life and work remain a significant part of the early fifteenth-century artistic record.
