Cornelia Scheffer was a painter active in the Kingdom of the Netherlands between 1769 and 1839. She is documented as the spouse of the artist Johann Baptist Scheffer. Her family life included two sons who also pursued careers in painting: Hendrik Scheffer and Ary Scheffer. As a mother to these artists, she formed a significant artistic lineage within the Northern Netherlands during her lifetime. Her work as a painter remains part of the historical record alongside her role as the parent of her notable sons.
