Robert Griffier

Robert Griffier, born in 1675 and active until 1727, was a painter, draftsperson, and art dealer within the Dutch Republic. He was the child of the artist Jan Griffier and received his artistic training under his father. Although his professional life unfolded in Amsterdam, he is often described as an English painter. His documented career encompasses the creation of drawings and paintings alongside his work in the art trade.
