Xenis Sachinis

Xenis Sachinis is an artist. 1 work is cataloged here, principally at Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki – MOMus.

Xenis Sachinis painted the sea like it was a second language he forgot at breakfast. His brush kept returning to the harbors of his childhood, where fishing boats carried more memory than fish. That’s why his Μικρά Ασία makes the walls feel like a shore you can almost taste, turquoise waves lifting off the canvas in stiff, salty ridges.

If you’ve stood on a Greek dock at noon and squinted at the glare, you know the scene. Look for the tiny red boat; it’s the only thing moving.
