Heinrich Maria von Hess was a Kingdom of Prussia artist.

Heinrich Maria von Hess was a German painter and university teacher active during the nineteenth century. Born in 1798 and passing in 1863, he held citizenship within the Kingdom of Prussia. His professional life included significant contributions to art education, notably as the instructor of the artist Johann Carl Koch. Family ties also connected him to the artistic community, as he was the sibling of the painter Peter von Hess. His career reflects a dedicated engagement with both the creation of art and the instruction of future generations within the Prussian cultural sphere.
