Jan Cybis was a Poland artist.

Jan Cybis was a Polish artist who lived from 1897 to 1972. He worked as a painter, art critic, and university teacher. During his studies, he trained under the artists Józef Pankiewicz, Józef Mehoffer, and Otto Mueller. Later in his career, he passed his knowledge to the next generation by teaching the artist Tadeusz Dominik. His professional life combined artistic creation with academic instruction and critical writing within the Polish art world.
