Jacob Willemsz Delff was a painter and draftsperson active in the Dutch Republic from 1542 to 1601. He is recognized as a painter from the Northern Netherlands during this period. His professional legacy includes teaching the artist Pieter Cornelisz van Rijck and instructing his own son, Jacob Willemsz. Delff, who also became an artist. He was the parent of Cornelis Jacobsz. Delff, another artist within the family. Through these relationships, he contributed to the artistic lineage of his time while maintaining a documented career as a creator of paintings and drawings in the late sixteenth century.
