Axel Hou was a Kingdom of Denmark artist.

Axel Hou was a Danish painter and etcher active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1860, he pursued his artistic training under the guidance of Raphaël Collin before establishing his own practice as a painter, etcher, and exlibrist. His career extended beyond his own creations to include a significant role as an educator. Hou taught several notable artists, including Niels Larsen Stevns, Elisa Maria Boglino, and Emil Krause. He remained active in the Kingdom of Denmark until his death in 1948, leaving a legacy that encompasses both his personal artistic output and his influence on the next generation of Danish artists.
