Susanna de La Croix was a Dutch draughtsperson and painter who lived from 1755 to 1789 within the kingdom of the Netherlands. she is primarily known for her role as the mother of three artists: Pieter Gerardus van Os, Maria Margaretha van Os, and Georgius Jacobus Johannes van Os. her artistic practice also intersected with her family life, as she was married to the artist Jan van Os. her documented occupations include work as both a painter and a draftsperson. this period of her life and career remains defined by these familial and professional connections within the Dutch art world of the late eighteenth century.
