Eugene Aubert

Eugène Aubert liked to wander the backstreets of Paris with a sketchbook in his coat pocket, stopping to jot down rooftops and storefronts before they vanished. He made most of his living turning those quick sketches into prints that Parisians could tack above their mantels, tiny slices of everyday life pressed onto paper.
