His academic influence extended to several notable figures in the art world, including Franz Defregger, Sándor Liezen-Mayer, and Józef Chełmoński, all of whom studied under his guidance. Anschütz dedicated his life to both the creation of art and the instruction of future generations, leaving a documented legacy through his students and his dual role as a practitioner and educator in the nineteenth century.
