Francesco Filippini

Francesco Filippini was an Italian painter and theorist active during the late nineteenth century. Born in 1853 and passing in 1895, he pursued his artistic training under the guidance of Giuseppe Bertini. His work and ideas left a lasting mark on a generation of artists, including Alfredo Müller, Angelo Morbelli, Silvestro Lega, Giovanni Segantini, and Lucius Rossi.
