Nanni di Banco was an Italian artist who lived from 1380 to 1421. He worked as both an architect and a sculptor during his lifetime. Historical records indicate that he studied under the artist Donato de' Bardi, learning the craft from this mentor. Later in his career, he passed his knowledge on to the artist Luca della Robbia, who became his student. These documented relationships highlight his role within the artistic community of his time. His life and work remain a part of the history of Italian art from the early fifteenth century.
