Artist
Viorel Toma
Viorel Toma is an artist. 2 works are cataloged here, principally at National Museum of Romanian History.
Viorel Toma painted quiet corners of everyday life, kitchen tables with half-drunk tea, windowsills catching late light, like he was holding his breath. He loved the way ordinary things could sit still, heavy with meaning, without trying to be dramatic. You’ll find that same quiet focus in his 1997 still life Νεκρή φύση (Greek for “still life”), where a simple bottle of wine and a bowl of fruit feel like a whole story told in shadows.
