Marco Tintoretto was a Republic of Venice artist.
Marco Tintoretto was an Italian painter active during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries within the Republic of Venice. Born around 1560 and living until 1637, he worked as a painter in a family deeply rooted in the artistic tradition of the region. He was the child of the renowned artist Jacopo Tintoretto and the sibling of Domenico Tintoretto, who also pursued a career in painting. His documented life and occupation place him firmly within the lineage of the Tintoretto workshop, contributing to the artistic output of his time through his practice as a painter.
