Matthijs Bril the Younger was a Flemish painter active in the Southern Netherlands during the late sixteenth century. Born in 1550 and passing in 1583, he worked as a painter, draftsperson, fresco painter, and designer. His professional life was closely linked to his sibling, the artist Paul Bril, with whom he frequently collaborated. Together they pursued artistic projects that defined their shared career path. Matthijs Bril the Younger remains a documented figure in the history of Netherlandish art, known for his contributions alongside his brother before his early death.
