Louise of Hesse-Kassel was a Kingdom of Denmark artist.

Louise of Hesse-Kassel lived from 1817 to 1898 as a citizen of the Kingdom of Denmark. She served as the queen consort of Denmark from 1863 until her death in 1898. Beyond her royal duties, she pursued painting as a documented occupation. Her artistic education included study under Heinrich Buntzen, Niels Simonsen, and Wilhelm Marstrand. She also trained with Johan Laurentz Jensen and Martinus Rørbye. These instructors guided her development as a painter during her lifetime. Her legacy encompasses both her role as a monarch and her engagement with the visual arts through formal instruction from these notable Danish artists.
