Andreas Fritz was a Danish artist who lived from 1828 to 1906 within the Kingdom of Denmark. His documented practice encompassed both painting and photography. Fritz pursued his artistic education under the guidance of prominent figures, including Christen Købke, Johan Vilhelm Gertner, and Wilhelm Marstrand. Later in his career, he assumed the role of instructor, notably teaching the painter Peder Mørk Mønsted. This lineage of study and mentorship situates Fritz within a significant network of Danish art history, connecting him to established masters of the nineteenth century through both his training and his own pedagogical contributions.
