Osip Avsiyan

Osip Avsiyan was a Soviet painter and lecturer who lived from 1918 to 2003. His artistic formation was shaped by studying under three significant figures: Nikolai Samokysh, Pavel Filonov, and Aristarkh Lentulov. As a Russian painter, he dedicated his life to the practice of painting and the instruction of others. His career spanned the majority of the twentieth century within the Soviet Union. The influence of his mentors is a documented part of his professional history, marking his entry into the artistic community.
