Nitin Sawhney

Nitin Sawhney holed up in his London studio late at night, cigarette smoke curling around stacks of sketchbooks he never opened in daylight. The V&A asked for one drawing to celebrate its 150th birthday; he turned in a single sheet of tracing paper that folded out into a city you could walk through, street names legible only when you held it up to the window.
