He worked as a printmaker, copper engraver, draftsperson, and print publisher. His professional life included significant collaborations with fellow artists Cornelis Visscher and Abraham Blooteling. Beyond these partnerships, van dalen ii served as an instructor to Abraham Blooteling, guiding the younger artist's development.
