Auguste-Siméon Garneray was a French artist who lived from 1785 to 1824. His documented practice encompassed painting, costume design, and graphic arts, including work as a lithographer, watercolorist, and draftsperson. He was the sibling of two other artists, Ambroise Louis Garneray and Hippolyte Jean Baptiste Garnerey. Throughout his career, he contributed to the visual culture of his time through these diverse mediums. His life and work remain a part of the broader narrative of French art in the early nineteenth century.
