Francesco Piranesi, an Italian engraver from the Papal States, lived between 1758 and 1810. He was the child of the artist Giovanni Battista Piranesi and studied under the artist Giovanni Volpato. His documented occupations include architect, printer, diplomat, graphic artist, etcher, and copper engraver. Throughout his career, he worked across these diverse roles, contributing to the artistic and architectural landscape of his time as a figure trained in the traditions of his father and his mentor.
