Robert Pollard

Robert Pollard was a British engraver who lived from 1755 to 1838 within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He worked across several roles as an art dealer, engraver, publisher, painter, graphic artist, and printseller. His artistic training included studies under the artist Richard Wilson and I. Taylor. Beyond his own creative output, Pollard is noted for his family connection as the parent of the artist James Pollard. His career spanned the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, establishing him as a multifaceted figure in the British art world of his time.
