Anton Ažbe

Anton Ažbe was a painter and art educator active within the Austrian Empire from 1862 to 1905. He is recognized as a Slovenian artist who studied under the painter Gabriel von Hackl. Later in his career, Ažbe established himself as an influential teacher, instructing notable figures such as Wassily Kandinsky. His work and instruction contributed to the artistic landscape of his time, bridging his own training with the development of his students.
