BRAM VAN MEERVELDE

Bram van Mevelde carries a camera like others carry a notebook, always scribbling, never posing. He shoots the same stretch of Amsterdam canal for months, catching rain slicing the light or a stray dog’s tail flicking through the frame. A single photo from this series, left untitled, hangs in Gallery Tiles because it’s the one where the sky’s reflection splits in half: one side blue, the other gray, with no story to explain the seam.
