Syrak Hansen was a Danish painter who lived from 1833 to 1904 within the Kingdom of Denmark. His career included the significant role of educator, as he taught the artists Søren Lund, Fritz Syberg, and his own daughter, Anna Syberg. Anna Syberg also became an artist, continuing the creative legacy within the family. Hansen's life spanned the nineteenth century, during which he practiced painting and guided the development of several notable figures in Danish art. His influence extended through his direct instruction of these students and his familial connection to Anna Syberg.
